Reunited and it Feels So Good ♫

My best friend in the world, Ethan Glemaker, arrived to Peru about 4 weeks ago to visit me and do some traveling :-) We spent the first few weeks together in Lima, Huallanca, and Huaraz and he is now currently traveling around and enjoying all the diversity and beauty Peru has to offer on the beaches, mountains, and amazon rainforest. I would have loved to travel with him but I have no more vacation days left and right now my main focus is finishing up my projects since I will be leaving Peru in about 2 months.

We had an incredible time together and I miss him already. Ethan is one of the most kind hearted and compassionate people that I know and he is such an inspiration to me! I have such wonderful people in my life and I am so thankful.

First we met up in Lima:

At the Parque de la Reserva in Lima-an awesome park with a ton of incredible water fountains!

And then we went to Huallanca for the week:

Gathering straw with my Peruvian family.
My Peruvian family just adored Ethan :)
With my Peruvian mom gathering fire wood to cook
Ethan helping me teach an English class
He was so popular with my students that they all wanted his autograph after the class ;)

Teaching a PE class with the kindergarten class that I help in.

At my Peruvian family's house. The girls loved Ethan so much!
We went to visit my goddaughter the kids just fell in love with Ethan.

I loved watching Ethan and Robihño form such a close bond!

And then we went back to Lima to run in the marathon for me and the 10k for Ethan, and  to get matching Peru tatoos :)

After the marathon
Our matching tats! "Munay" which means "love and beauty in Quechua (the name of my blog!) with the "A" as a mountain and the "Y" with the Peru mark.
At dinner with the two amazing men of my life after the marathon. Ethan and Jerry got along really well :)
And then we went to explore the beauty of Huaraz:
At Lake Wilcacocha in Huaraz with an incredible view of the Cordillera Blanca
I loved sharing the beauty of Huaraz with Ethan. He really liked it!
We went to my favorite hot springs :)

On another great hike :)
Ready to hit up the town to go dancing

When Ethan heads back to the states this week, he will be moving to Baltimore to start his summer training to become a teacher with Teach For America. I could not be more proud of him! :) I know he will be the world's best teacher and change the lives of so many students!!
